Deep Soul Diving...

I recently felt an intense pull to give myself a retreat in the Pacific Northwest. I wasn't exactly sure why I felt drawn to the PNW in particular, but trusting that oftentimes our intuitive selves know far better than we do on our more surface selves, I went ahead and booked a trip! I spent quite a bit of time "deep soul diving" while also visiting a few friends that I haven't seen in too long.
To step far outside of one's comfort zone, go deep down into one's vulnerabilities....and then just Be with them, not judging or "fixing", just Being....and then to return home, Oof! Incredibly Enlivening! I'm still quite aware of what revealed itself while away and it's certainly always a process of acceptance and growth when faced head on with one's fears and vulnerabilities, but it is also empowering to trust deeply in the processes of life/death/rebirth and know that when one emerges, Wisdom, Clarity and New Potential ensue!
Although we don't always have the luxury of traveling across the country to immerse ourselves in new ways of seeing and being, there always exist smaller moments within our days and weeks for quick yet meaningful "dives". The key is remembering that everything you need to know and understand is already Here, just waiting for you to dive just below the surface. Why not take a moment, a deep slow looooooonnnng breath and just experience where you are Right Now...........
If you'd like a longer "dive", one-on-one sessions, mini workshops and the Lift-life Retreat in Costa Rica offer plenty of other opportunities! Sometimes taking that first and/or second step is most helpful with the assistance and support of another. Please know that I am always available for such a purpose.

eternity and the mirror....

how easily i forget and look outside of myself for the Beauty that is ever-present and within. both of the quotes below struck deep in my heart and i wanted to share them with you...one seems to flow very well from the other.....blessings! ~jeni

"Too late I loved you, O Beauty so ancient yet ever new! Too late I loved you!
And, behold, you were within me, and I out of myself; and there I searched for you.

~St Augustine, Confessions, X, 27

"...Where shall you seek beauty, and how shall you find her
unless she herself be your way and your guide?
And how shall you speak of her
except she be the weaver of your speech...
beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.
But you are life and you are the veil.
Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror.
But you are eternity and you are the mirror.

~Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
